Mat recently presented to our community group on the topic of heat pumps. His enthusiastic engaging presentation provided us with the key points of installing and running a heat pump, ensuring we have a much better understanding of the benefits of this technology and the energy savings it provides. He "busted" a number of the myths and helped provide real world examples of how they can help us in the energy transition.

Between 2022 - 2024, Mat supported me and the Insidestore team with various Shop Fitting and Visual Merchandising tasks, along with working together on Customer furniture installs within their homes. In home tasks were conducted in a low carbon, Sustainable manner, with Mat travelling to each location, and transporting tools and equipment via eCargo bike.

Works included:
Assisting with Visual Merchandising tasks, installing demonstration String System shelving units in store, and referring his services to Customers for this same premium shelving product.
Assembly and installation of Hay Pier system shelving.
Light pendent repositioning and rewiring tasks (Permitted Maintenance task, as defined by 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations).

I also used Mat for a number of maintenance, solar shading and furniture install related tasks within my own home; new blinds, hooks and bathroom maintenance. Additionally, I consulted Mat for an opinion on the possibilities of a small Solar installation within a Communal area, as to power lighting and the fire alarm system.
